Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

 

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”  ~Romans 5:8-9

 

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God!  With the thought of what this week represents, the death, burial, and glorious resurrection of our Saviour, this song is on my heart.

 

“How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure,
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure.

How great the pain of searing loss –
The Father turns His face away,
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory.

Behold the man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders;
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers.

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life –
I know that it is finished.

​

I will not boast in anything,
No gifts, no power, no wisdom;
But I will boast in Jesus Christ,
His death and resurrection.

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer;
But this I know with all my heart –
His wounds have paid my ransom.”

 

Praise the Lord!  I’m so thankful that the story doesn’t end with the death of Jesus, but the Bible tells us of His wondrous resurrection!  Acts 2:24 says, “Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.”  Death could not hold our Saviour!  He is victorious over death, hell, and the grave!  If you are a child of God, you too, are victorious through the shed blood of Jesus!  Hallelujah!  We serve a risen Saviour!

 

It is with great joy that I share that God saved four of our clients last month!  Praise the Lord for His saving power!  Spreading the gospel, lifting up the name of Jesus, and seeing lives eternally changed, while also providing the help people need, is our calling.  What a blessing it is to serve in this ministry!  God is continuing to do a wonderful work at CRADLE and for that we are so thankful!

CRADLE will be holding a Baby Shower Drive throughout the month of April.  The items that we currently need the most are:  sleepers/pajamas (24 months), long sleeve girl clothes (24 months), diapers (size 3-7), baby laundry detergent, toddler toothbrushes/toothpaste, diaper cream, Mylicon drops, infant Tylenol, and bottle drying racks.  There are baby registries at both Walmart and Amazon.  Donations can be dropped off at the CRADLE office Tuesday-Thursday, 10am-4pm.  Please share this Drive with as many as you can.  Thank you for faithfully supporting this important ministry!

 

As a reminder, our annual Mother’s Appreciation Giveaway is planned for May 14th (weather permitting).  This event will be open to anyone who is in need in the surrounding communities.  There will be no requirements other than either being pregnant or having a child in CRADLE sizes (Newborn-5T).  We’ll be handing out baby and toddler items, clothes, diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream, and more.  Bibles, gospel tracts, and Supporting Church information will also be offered to everyone who attends the event.  Please pray that the love of Jesus is shown and that a multitude of people are pointed to our Saviour as we reach out to help as many as we can.  

 

Thank you for all you do to further the gospel of Christ!  God has blessed CRADLE, our clients and their families through you.  We are grateful!  I pray that you have a blessed Easter and see souls saved and lives eternally changed by Jesus.  He’s alive!
