Non-Judgemental Peer Counseling:
CRADLE is staffed by volunteers who have undergone training in crisis counseling.  Most volunteers and paid staff do not have degrees in counseling and are not licensed by the state as professional counselors.  Our goal is to help women face the future with hope and a plan to constructively deal with their difficult life situations.

Information about Prenatal Development and Abortion:
We are committed to providing clients with accurate and complete information about pregnancy and prenatal development. We also have information on abortion procedures, possible risks and complications, as well as alternatives to abortion including adoption. We do not provide referrals for abortion or birth control.

Maternity Resource Center:
Our Maternity Resource Center, located on the third floor of Temple Baptist Church, is equipped with maternity and infant clothing, cribs, blankets, bedding, diapers and other supplies.  Our clients earn points or "baby bucks" to spend in the center. These baby bucks are earned by keeping doctor's appointments, counseling or doing Bible studies with a CRADLE volunteer, viewing educational videos at CRADLE, reading books from the CRADLE library, and/or attending church services.

Free Pregnancy Tests:
CRADLE uses the same pregnancy tests used by a local OB doctor's office.  The test takes only 3 minutes and requires a small urine sample to test the HCG hormone level and confirm pregnancy.  The tests are 98% accurate if given at least 2 weeks after a missed period.  In rare cases, some women require a blood test to confirm a pregnancy.  Our office only offers the urine tests - which are administered by the client under the supervision of a trained counselor.
How long does an appointment take?
Most appointments take between 45 minutes to an hour - depending on the client's needs.  We ask questions to evaluate how we can serve the client better and allow them to ask questions of us as well.
Will my information be kept confidential?
Yes. CRADLE will hold in strict confidence all information provided, except as required by law regarding the mandatory reporting of cases where there are reasonable grounds to believe that physical or sexual abuse of a minor has occurred.  CRADLE is committed to integrity in dealing with clients, earning their trust, and providing promised information and services in a safe atmosphere.
